Manual Global Push and Pull

The manual push or pull feature is not interval based. A specified, single shared object gets pushed to or pulled from the selected users' or group-members' favorites.

The dialog described below is only usable for Jira administrators, since here all filters and dashboards in the system are visible and distributable.

To push or pull favorites globally to specified users or groups, you have to do the following:

  1. In the Jira Administration menu, select User Management.
    The list of configured users appears.
  2. In the sidebar on the left, select Push and Pull Favorites from the "User Management" section.

    The "Push and Pull Favorites" dialog appears.

  3. From the pull down menu, select the filter or dashboard you want to push or pull.

    Since version 7.0.11.1 you can select the system dashboard here as well.

  4. Enter the user names or group names you want a filter or dashboard to pull from or push to into the appropriate text boxes.
  5. Press Push or Pull.

Possible errors and causes that can occur here:

  1. The recipient(s) are not authorized to see the pushed content, due to missing share permissions.
  2. No user or group is selected.
  3. Dashboard contains gadgets based on filters not being shared by selected user or group members.
