How to Add a Matrix to a Confluence Page
You can add the Matrix dashboard gadget to a Confluence page.
To use Jira dashboard gadgets in Confluence, you have to register them first.
Make sure you have an application link between your Jira and Confluence system.
Step-by-step guide
To register the Matrix dashboard gadget in Confluence, do the following:
- Identify the Matrix gadget URL
Do the following as administrator on your Jira system:- Switch to your dashboard.
- Click Add gadget in the top right corner.
The gadget browser is displayed. - Search for the Matrix gadget.
- Select Show XML link.
The XML link of the Matrix gadget is displayed. - Note the XML link or copy it to the clipboard.
- Register the Matrix gadget in Confluence.
Do the following as administrator on your Confluence system:- Click the cog icon in the top menu to enter the system administration.
- Select General configuration from the menu.
- Select External Gadgets from the "Configuration" section in the sidebar on the left.
The "External Gadgets" dialog is displayed. - Past the XML link you noted before in the "Gadget Specification URL" textbox and click Add.
The URL is added to the "Added Gadgets" list.
- The Matrix gadget should be available in the Confluence macro browser now.
