This postfunction enables the JIRA to search the configured LDAP or Active Directory based on a fieldvalue. With the possibility to take the first entry in a list of searchrresults and to create new options if the target field is an optionfield.

Add the Postfunction

To add the postfunction you need to edit the workflow in which you want to include the postfunction. On the accordung transition you can add a postfunction. 

You need to select the following postfunction of the list:

Configure the Postfunction

The configuration screen of the postfunction looks like this:

Search with

For the "Search with"-field you select the field which value should be used as search term.

Attribute Mapping

The Attribute Mapping is separated from the general settings to give the possibility to use it in a parallel manner.

Therefore you can select a customfield and write the ldap attribute. To add a mapping click the add button after you filled the customfield and attribute.

Auto create options

In this required section you have to select if new options should be created if there is none matching or the standard should be used.

Take first entry

In this required section you have to select if the first entry of a list should be used. In the negative approach everything will be empty.
